If you've made it as far as this thread, then you know to click on the title of a forum to enter it and the title of a thread to enter it.

To post, or reply to a thread, there are 2 ways. There is a quick reply box at the bottom of a thread. It is limited in options; it only lets you add an emoticon at the end of text and you can't pick your font or size of font.
To the left of that, and also located at the top of the thread, there is a post reply button. Click on that, and you will get a much larger area in which to reply with full features.
Note; don't click on "new topic" as that will start a brand new thread.

There are ways to return to the beginning and choose the next forum of threads contents. One is to click on the word "home" located at the bar near the top of the page and at the bottom which will return you to the main index page. One is to use the menu box at the bottom right corner. The 3rd way is to click on the part of this line: The HSP Dimension: Expressions of Highly Sensitive People :: Public Forums :: Information, Guidelines and Links that corisponds to the section you want to go to. The first section takes you back to the main index page. The second will list all the forums in a subsection; in this case, public forums. the 3rd section is the forum I am currently in. If you're in a thread, it will also be on this line in a 4th section; click on that and it takes you back to the beginning of the thread.

If you've been a way from the board for awhile and return, it will be back to the time you left. To update to the current time (and thus newer posts), click on home.

If you've entered a post and wish to correct something, add or change it, go back to it and at the right top corner will be an edit button. Click on that and you will be able to do so. Note, the edit function is only available for a few days for any given post. The quote button allows you to incorporate someone else's post into yours if you're replying to it.

Our board has a few subsections, only 2 of which you will see. The first is public forums. Anything entered in these forums can be seen by nonmembers and picked up by search engine bots like Google, Msn, and Yahoo. The 2nd is private forums that can only be seen by members when they are logged in. The third, is a private group section. We only have one forum in there at the moment and it is a workgroup on self employment ideas, job hunting and related. Some of our members wanted to discuss information that is very private such as developing business plans. There is a sticky in the Big Comfy Chair : Sticky: "Zen and the Art of Making a Living" by StrawberryLife that explains about this group and how to join it. There is a forth subsection that is available to staff only; our back office.
Sticky and announcements are threads that are at the very top of the page.

The beating hearts currently at the beginning of threads on index pages show which ones you've posted in. INFP that's me's choice of icon.

To use the chatbox when a chat is in progress, click on "login" at the top right of the box. on the bottom, a little one line box will appear. That is where you enter what you wish to say. Hit enter on your keyboard or click send to enter your dialog into the chatbox. To the left of the message box is a button that says "A__". Click on that and you can change the color of your font. Emoticons are next to that.

I hope this helps you to have to have an enjoyable time here.

Oh one more thing, if you are idle in the chatbox during a chat, it will time you out after about 10 minutes or so.

Update, there are now 3 forums in the closed group forum area. You need 10 posts to be admitted and see them. Once you are, just log out and log in again and they will appear.

Chats will not show unless you are logged into the chatbox, but names will if there is a chat in progress. If you want to start a chat, just log into the chatbox and wait.
