I got an XP auto update today when I turned on my computer so I'm assuming Microsoft finished the patch for this and released it.

I don't remember for sure, but XP allows lookup of updates, right ?

I read Microsoft was not planning on patching Explorer for XP users so I am not sure. Yes, I agree, this needs to be verified.

I was assuming it was cause I read that microsoft would patch this, but repeatedly stated they would no longer support XP after this. I actually can't tell what updated cause the list just shows random letters and numbers for updates, not what they actually were.

OK, the articles I read on it, (see op) said they weren't, but I guess they came to their senses and patched for XP too since this was such a dangerous thing.
