default May we have a like/love button?

Post by sophiabeldris on Sat Apr 28, 2012 6:31 pm

Sometimes someone has said something and I don't have anything to add, but I really like it! I don't want to clog the forum with posts about how much I like what they said, when that's all I have to say. Smile But I do wish to acknowledge that in some way what the person said touched me or made a difference to me in some way.

Our forum programming doesn't have such a feature unfortunately. I really wish it did.

Feel free to continue to "clog" up with such posts; people do appreciate it even if they don't always reply.

Awwww... okay... then I just might speak up. Though I don't always! As I'm reading through all the threads, there is so much I like, that I could be typing for hours on it all... but I am in catch up mode, after all... since I'm new to the forum.

I think you're actually one of the first who actually does this, it's great that you do, good to see them renewed again. ^_^

There's a lot of good information in the forums... and a lot of interesting articles that others have posted, so yes... good idea to go through and look at all the forums...

For now, though... it's... laundry and Sims2. LOL I have people to rule in a god like fashion! crazy

Laundry sims 2? What will they think of next? Wink

There's a poll on the forumotion website to add this feature though. So maybe in the future it can be added.

Right now, the only thing that comes close it a "Thanks" button, but that would only be available to the Topic Starter.

Nucky has a good point.

Also, sometimes, when you reply, you suddenly end up contributing to the subject.
Unintentionally and unknowingly. Sometimes with your own words, sometimes by digging it up by replying, Giving it a chance to be viewed by others who feel they have something to say about it.

Don't worry about "necro-posting", it's all allowed. Subjects don't die, they just fade into the background and at times need to be put into the front again.
